Taxis and trains in Sydney

Getting from the airport to the city:

As a guide, it will cost you about $25 from the airport to the Sydney CBD or about $45 to the North Sydney Harbourview Hotel. Taxis from the Sydney CBD to the North Sydney Harbourview Hotel will cost about $15. Buses and trains are a cheaper and safe alternative as well, but it’s up to you whether you feel the saving is worth the additional inconvenience.

Trains travel regularly from Sydney CBD and Central Station to North Sydney Station, and are reasonably priced. North Sydney Station is right next to the hotel, so trains are perhaps the most convenient method for you to travel about. Of course, Shanks Pony (walking) is always available. It will take about 30 minutes to walk from Sydney CBD over the Sydney Harbour Bridge to the hotel (20 minutes if you can resist the view).
