About the Speaker

John began his career as a Japanese-to-English translator in Tokyo in the early 1980s. Since returning to the UK, he has continued to work as a full-time freelance translator and interpreter, mainly in the field of manufacturing management and improvement. He was recently awarded the Nakajima Prize by the Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance for over a decade of significant contribution to the uptake of Total Productive Maintenance worldwide through translation and interpreting.
