IJET is an annual two-day conference hosted by JAT (Japan Association of Translators), which consists of twenty to thirty sessions and a banquet. IJET-24 in Hawaii, scheduled for June 2013, marks the twenty-fourth conference in the series. The purpose of IJET is to provide a place for professional and personal improvement, information exchange, networking, profitable discussion and socializing for many translation and interpretation industry members. IJET was held in Okinawa in 2008, Sydney in 2009, Miyazaki in 2010, Seattle in 2011, and Hiroshima in 2012 with great success. The conference makes a huge contribution to the development of the translation and interpretation industry globally.
