Martin Cross

Martin Cross began his career more than twenty years ago as an in-house editor of patent translations in Tokyo. In 1997, he founded Patent Translations Inc., headquartered in Seattle, where he translates, and trains translators and editors in the specific requirements of patent translation. He also serves as an expert witness in Japanese translation in US patent litigation. Martin is a co-author of the ATA Patent Translator's Handbook and his articles on the subject of patent translation have appeared in the New York Law Journal, Intellectual Property Today, the Westlaw Journal, and the ATA Chronicle.
