Translating Complex Japanese Sentences into Clear, Accurate English, Using Examples from the Pharma
Pharma translators are encouraged to produce clear, accurate, and concise writing. In this hands-on workshop, presented by JATPHARMA and facilitated by veteran translators Lee Seaman and Tony Atkinson, participants working in groups will translate a number of challenging Japanese texts drawn from the pharma and biomedical arena. The facilitators will then review and edit selected translations and offer useful strategies for tackling similar texts in the future and achieving the goals of clarity, accuracy, and concision.
