Paul Hersey

Paul Hersey never took interpreting too seriously until an art museum employee in Paris providentially suggested he attend Ecole Supérieure d'Interprètes et de Traducteurs. His misgivings soon gave way to understanding and then love for the conference interpreting profession. He had previously been a Production Systems Programmer at Toyoda Machinery USA.  His wide-ranging conference interpreting career began in Paris in 1994; he joined the staff of the Interpreting Division, U.S. Department of State, in 1997.
