Stephen Scott

Stephen is a UK and European patent attorney, and head of EIP’s representative office in Tokyo.  Stephen handles patent applications in a wide range of technical fields, including mechanics, software, data processing, security, networking, telecommunications and computer modelling. He has particular experience in managing large patent portfolios, including prosecution of applications in Europe, the United States and the Far East.  Stephen joined EIP following two years in Japan studying Japanese under the support of the Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation Scholarship Programme.  Stephen has a first class degree in Mechanical Engineering and a PhD in simulation of turbulent particulate flows, both from Imperial College London.
