Angus Turvill lives in London.

Award-winning translations include work by Ekuni Kaori and Ikezawa Natsuki (Shizuoka Translation Competition Grand Prize), Mukoda Kuniko, Inoue Hisashi and Kuroda Natsuko (John Dryden Competition), Dazai Osamu (J-Lit Competition) and Kamon Nanami (Kurodahan Competition).

Other translations include work by Nomura Kiwao, Yotsumoto Yasuhiro  Shigematsu Kiyoshi, Suto Yohei, and Matsuda Aoko,

He has taught Japanese translation at Newcastle University and Durham University, as well as on the City University and Birkbeck (London University) translation summer schools.
