I came to Japan in 1997 and left in 2012, and in between I went back to Australia for 2 years to acquire a Master of Arts in Japanese Interpreting and Translation (MAJIT) at Queensland University (2003-2004). While my focus is translation (business/finance, medical, IT), I have some experience interpreting in Japan (Aichi World Expo 2005, Summer Sonic Music Festival 2007-2011), and also teaching at a well-known interpreting school. I now work in Sydney as a NAATI accredited freelance translator, and I try to use my interpreting skills to improve my daily work efficiency in translation.
