Helen Ablonczy
Admitted to legal practice in Australia (NSW), Helen Ablonczy is a lawyer-linguistwith a long association with Japan that includes over 15 years’residence. She providesa range of services(legal drafting, editing, proofreading,and rewriting,as well as Japanese-to-English translation services)tolaw firms,attorneys, and other discerning clients.In 2012 sheestablished her own business following 8 years’serviceat the Tokyo office of a leadinginternational law firm.She works across specialties including litigation, transfer pricing,and taxation. Helen has a Bachelor of Laws from Kobe University(Monbusho scholar), a Bachelor of Arts (Politics) and a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from Flinders University, a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice with Distinction (ANU),and a Master of Applied Linguistics (USQ).
Helen relocated from Japan to Australia via Hungary in 2012 and is now raising two beautiful, trilingual children in Melbourne.
