Jonathan Merz
A native of Atlanta, Jonathan studied Japanese Language and Literature at the University of Georgia, during which time he spent a year studying in Tokyo. After graduating, he spent two years working for the Prefectural Government of Wakayama as a Coordinator of International Relations on the JET Programme, followed by two years in Tokyo working first in-house at a translation agency specializing in patents, then independently as a freelancer. In 2011, he returned to Atlanta, where he continues to work as an independent translator of patents and related documents.
