Charles Aschmann (IJET-23)
Charles Aschmann (Partner, Charles Aschmann Language Services) is a freelance translator living on a small farm in Fort Valley, Virginia, USA. He serves as JAT vice president and webmaster and primarily translates patents and chemical and pharmaceutical documents. He has long been interested in the development of CAT tools and has given a number of presentations on them to JAT gatherings. In his translation work, he uses a variety of CAT tools and has worked out methods for interoperability among them.
Recently he contributed an appendix to the JAT Pharma Handbook on CAT use. His interests outside of translating, CAT tools and JAT include horses, fishing, hiking, biking, gardening, farming, music and literature.
