Helen Iwata (IJET-23)
Helen Iwata manages the communications team at the Japan office of a global management consulting firm, where she oversees and undertakes translation, editing, interpretation, and communications training.
She holds a masters degree in Advanced Japanese Studies from Sheffield University in the United Kingdom and studied conference interpreting at Interschool in Tokyo.
Helen is the current President of the Japan Association of Translators and Secretary General of the Itosu-ryu Karatedo International Federation (she holds a 4 dan in karate, so don’t mess with her!).
