Charles Aschmann (Owner/Partner, Charles Aschmann Language Services) is a freelance translator living in Fort Valley, Virginia, USA. He has served on the JAT Board and currently helps with the Tech Team. He primarily translates patents and chemical and pharmaceutical documents. He has long been interested in the development of CAT tools and other forms of technology that aid translators including speech recognition, handwriting recognition, OCR and recently text-to-speech.
