Born in San Francisco, a long-time resident of Suginami, Tokyo. Studied communications at ICU and received MA in journalism and communication from Sophia University (上智大学) . Freelance translator and interpreter with recent focus on translating academic papers and research reports. Co-author of プロが教える技術翻訳のスキル (“Learning Technical Translation Skills from Experts”, 講談社, 2013).
