Patrick Oblander

Patrick and his wife Yuko own the Kawamura Oblander Language Company in Portland, Oregon. After a few years living in Tokyo and Yokohama, Patrick earned his MS in Forest Management at Oregon State University and worked as an interpreter and consultant to US forestry companies doing business in Japan. The quick turnarounds were excellent practice for taking the ATA Japanese-English translation exam. Patrick translates mainly business publications, academic articles, and environmental reports.
