2022年半ばごろから、翻訳者をはじめとしたゲームローカライズ関係者たちが #TranslatorsInTheCredits というハッシュタグを使い、SNS上で「翻訳者の名前もスタッフロールに掲載を」と求めるムーブメントを起こしている。これを受け、ゲームローカライズの現場では、スタッフロールにおける翻訳者名の掲載有無が大きく注目を集めるようになった。
本講演では、#TranslatorsInTheCredits以前と以後におけるゲーム翻訳者の可視性を追いつつ、翻訳業界全体における翻訳者名の可視化について論じる。
