Ken Wagner

Ken Wagner has been a freelance Japanese-to-English translator since 1987, specializing in health sciences, especially pharmaceutical regulatory affairs. He has been involved with ATA’s Japanese-to-English certification program since 1996 and served as Japanese-to-English language chair and a member of the Certification Committee. He is a former secretary-treasurer, assistant administrator, and administrator of ATA’s Japanese Language Division and is currently a judge for the Japanese-to-English portion of the Japan Association of Translators’ annual translation contest. He currently resides in the Tama area of Tokyo.

The ATA Certification Workshop (Japanese-to-English and English-to-Japanese) begins with a brief overview of ATA’s certification process, testing procedures, grading standards, and the switch from in-person exams to on-line, on-demand exams.
