「翻訳の可視性」について、登壇者は論理的批判的能力と社会的視点のふたつの側面から発表します。
機械翻訳ツールに続いて昨年からAIチャットツールが次々に公開されています。「今や英語を勉強しなくても翻訳には困らない」と多くの人が口にしますが、AIツールがあれば翻訳関連業務は不要でしょうか。翻訳を勉強する必要も依頼する必要もないでしょうか。
こうした疑問について、登壇者はAI利用が広がる時代だからこそ人間翻訳が必要であると予想します。特に、人間だけが持ちうる「論理能力と批判能力」こそ重要というエビデンスを授業で取り上げた素材から集めています。
