Julie Segal

Julie Segal has been interpreting and translating for 30 years and interpreting in courts for the past 20 years. She taught in the Master of Arts in Japanese Interpreting and Translation (MAJIT) program at the University of Queensland for many years, and currently teaches in the Master of Arts in Translation and Interpreting (MATI) program, also at the University of Queensland. She gained her NAATI Conference Interpreter qualification in 1995 and has been a freelance practitioner ever since, increasingly specializing in legal interpreting. She also serves as a NAATI examiner, including for the Specialist Legal and Specialist Health certification tests.
