北海道生まれ、米テキサス州在住。JAT理事。アメリカ翻訳者協会（ATA）認定英日翻訳者。翻訳歴30年。英検１級。日本語教師。津田塾大学英文学科卒業後、全国展開の英会話学校で主任講師を務める。米テキサス大学オースティン校大学院で教材開発を専攻。NYの日系新聞社の翻訳をはじめ、一流外資企業が日本市場を開拓する際の日本語化にも多数参画。2018年に『写真で見る 看板・標識・ラベル・パッケージの英語表現』を出版、アマゾンでカテゴリー1位を獲得。2020年にYouTubeチャンネル「ランサムはなTV」を開設し、翻訳者志望者向けの情報発信を開始。2021年2月に翻訳者・志望者向けオンライン私塾「テキサス発やさしい翻訳塾」を開講。延べ200名を指導し、多数の塾生を翻訳者デビューに導く。2020年には通訳者デビュー、現在は社内通訳者として、日々数々の逐次・同時通訳会議を担当。公式サイト：rannohana.net
