Hugh Nettelbeck

Hugh is an Australian subtitler and academic, currently employed as a full-time lecturer in Translation Studies at Tokyo Woman's Christian University. He completed his Master's degree in Translation Studies at Rikkyo University's Graduate School of Intercultural Communication in Tokyo and his PhD at Monash University in Melbourne. Hugh is currently conducting research investigating collaboration and briefing practices in subtitling, and the international distribution of Japanese films.
