The Zenyasai is a great chance to meet people before the official start of the conference. Reconnect with old friends, make new ones. It goes without saying that IJET newbies are very welcome. And of course, bring your partner, family and friends, too.
The Hilton Hotel is a bit removed from Fukuoka's vibrant Tenjin and Daimyo entertainment district, and we want you to experience some of the nightlife. So, we’ve come up with a novel idea for the Zenyasai at IJET-33.
Time & Date: 5 p.m. Friday May 9, 2025
Venue: Grand Mirage (https://grand-mirage.com/)
Address: 810-0021 福岡県福岡市中央区今泉1-17-16
Cost: Free (almost)
So, how does this work?
Everyone will be arriving in Fukuoka at different times and will have different plans on the Friday. When you’ve checked into your hotel, or finished your sightseeing or pre-IJET workshops, come to Grand Mirage. The IJET-33 committee will be there to greet you.
Grand Mirage will allow us to freely use the front part of their restaurant/bar area as an IJET meeting hub and networking space. (Fingers crossed the weather is fine, so we can use the terrace, too.) The only catch is that everyone must buy at least one drink or food item. Pay as you go at the counter when you order. Otherwise, you are free to come and go as you please.
If you start feeling peckish and your stomach is growling to be fed, go off and explore the Tenjin/Daimyo area and find a restaurant for dinner. The IJET-33 committee will provide a list of restaurants and bars in the area. You can use the IJET mailing list or your favorite messaging app to find people and plan meet-ups.
Afterwards, come back to Grand Mirage for afterdinner drinks and catch up with people you may have missed earlier.
The cost of living is still going up, so enjoy the Zenyasai to suit your budget.
