The theme for IJET-34 is "Communication, Connection, Creativity: 人にしかできないこと"
Why a human is better than AI is no longer the issue. The world has not just moved on—it’s powering ahead, into areas and innovations which not even tech geeks can predict or keep up with.
The questions we must ask now are:
- What could our industry be: in the next year, the next decade?
- What can I contribute?
- What skills do I have in my portfolio that are flexible, transferable, and will keep me riding the wave of change, not dumped in its wake?
- How do I adapt, develop, evolve, transmorph? Is there still a place for “soft” skills – for people skills – and do I have them in sufficiently advanced degree?
- Could my knowledge of and facility with available tools – including AI – add value to cross-cultural communication and engagement?
IJET-34 will explore these and other questions, considering opportunities and synergies in diverse fields and inviting delegates to consider the future of our industry.
