Visitor Centres & City Ambassadors
- Personalised recommendations and itinerary planning from friendly volunteers and staff at our Visitor centres and City Ambassadors in red uniforms.
- Melbourne Visitor Hub: Expert advice, free maps, locally sourced gifts, and ticket bookings for shows, tours, and experiences via Experience Oz.
- Melbourne Visitor Booth: Insider tips, maps, and ticket bookings.
- Fitzroy Gardens Visitor Centre: Information on gardens and Cooks' Cottage, free Wi-Fi, children's activities, and a heritage tour ($10pp, weekdays 2–3pm).
- City Ambassadors: Located throughout the city, including Swanston St, City Square, Federation Square, and Queen Victoria Market, ready to assist with directions, public transport, and local tips.
Special Experiences
- Melbourne Greeter Service: Free 2–4 hour walking orientation with a local volunteer, in English daily at 10am from the Visitor Hub. Bookings essential: [email protected].
- Town Hall Tours: Free guided tours of Melbourne Town Hall, Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri at 11am & 1pm. Bookings essential.
- Art and Heritage Collection Tour: Free guided tour of the City of Melbourne's Art and Heritage Collection, Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri at 2.30pm.
